They Shootin'!

There is a shooting range in Abu Dhabi.  One day, me and my friend Paul decided to go check it out.  We had a blast!  Get it?  A blast?  ha ha.  Um yeah.

I didn't do so bad.  I'll have to post a picture of my target when I return to the UAE.  I did hit the Bull's Eye!

More UAE Randomness

The UAE is a strange place for randomness.  Like what?  Well...

Universal Studios Dubailand.  Since 2009, they've got nothing but this gate completed.  Work may resume next year.

Our college is located right next to the zoo.  I think these Ibises might be escapees.

A Narrow Escape

I let my cats out in the hallway the other day to run around.  They don't like to go outside, presumably because they are afraid they will never get back in again.

I had only let them out for a few minutes when I noticed I didn't see Jasper,  so I went back into my flat to look for him.  Suddenly, he came tearing around the corner with something just ahead of him, but all I saw was a flash of green.

It was a poor little "Green Bee Eater".  Yep, they are small hummingbird looking things that eat bees, and now one was trapped behind my refrigerator.  

I chased Jasper out of the kitchen where the bird was hiding.  He was scared and jept flying into the ceiling.  I finally opened the kitchen window, turned off all the lights and put a little night light next to the window so he could see where to fly out.  By morning the little guy was gone.
