Hikkaduwa and Turtles

The weather cleared up the next day in Hikkaduwa. I managed to get a boat and went snorkeling around the reefs. They weren't great, but I did see a huge green sea turtle.

Later, on our way back to Columbo, we stopped at one of the turtle sanctuaries. They hatch turtle eggs and release them. Also, they have a section where they keep "special" turtles such as a blind one and turtles with deformities that would make it impossible for them to survive in the wild.
