Hilton Hotel 40th Anniversary Party!

I was feeling pretty hungry so I thought I'd head over to the Hilton Hotel to use one of my free dinner vouchers. I noticed a red carpet leading out to the pool area. Usually there is a weeding or some other function going on, so I didn't think much of it. A few minutes later, one of the security guards that I know said, "Where are you going?" I replied, "I'm going to get something to eat. He said, "There is a party outside, go out there!"

I went out and sure enough it was the Hilton Hotel's 40th anniversary party.

The Hilton Hotel was originally built 40 years ago by a sheikh for a wedding. The structure is the tallest in Al Ain and there is a city ordinance prohibiting ay other buildings to be taller than the hotel.

I saw some German friends of mine and they told me they didn't know anything about the party. They just happened to be there and saw it. Same with me. We are all members of the Hilton, but it seems that just VIPs were invited. Whatever.

Free food and free drinks anyway. Woo hoo!

Huge ice sculpture.

The Indian food kiosk. The guy made bread at the top and would slide it down.

40th anniversary spotlight on the hotel.

The Asian food kiosk.

Can you guess which food kiosk this was? Yes, Italian!

Win a new Mercedes!

The Mexican food kiosk. Why is there a giant guitar?
