Hatta, Hatta, Hatta. I've been hearing about the Hatta pools for five years now, and I was finally going to see what the hype was all about.
First stop was the carpet market in case anyone wanted to buy one.

I bought a little treat for my kitties. That's my back with the brown bag.
Our next stop was Hatta's heritage village where we could get a glimpse of what life was like.
Depiction of the men hanging out and sharing a meal.
There was also a small gift shop with these AWESOME wheeled saddle chairs? What the hell? I want them!
Our next stop was the Hatta Dam. This is an example of a "recharge dam" . Two main wadis feed this lake where the water is held so the water can seep deep into the aquifer.

Our group at Hatta Dam. Me in the front!
Our final stop at Hatta Pools. Not sure what they hype is about. Maybe there is usually more water? Less trash? Less people?

Me, at the top middle in the blue and brown striped tankini.
This part of the pools was way more interesting, cleaner and no people.

Me again from behind chillin' on a rock.
Me, just relaxing!
Finally, my surprise for the kitties! Wow! They loved it!
But there can only be one king of the rug, and that will be King Bat Boy!
