We wanted to check out the nearby islands today and decided to take a boat trip. There were several boats to choose from. This one looked like a weird old fishing or pirate ship. We chose it. I think our captain was a closet wanna-be international dj. He was steering the boat and spinning tunes simultaneously. "Australia!" Then he'd play some Australian tune. "Italia!" And O Sole Mio would follow blaring through the loudspeakers.
The people love our captain. The children would know when the ship was coming and would gather on the rocks to be the first to swim for the t-shirt that the captain would throw into the water. People would be waving and waving with sheets, towels, whatever they had to get out attention just to say hi!
Paaaarty! One of the crew told us that he works for that particular ship because he thought the captain was so much fun.

The party boat! We got free wine, vodka, coffee, tea, and water!
Lunch was chicken or fish. Here is the fish getting grilled. The weather wasn't too promising in the morning with thunderstorms while we were en route to the islands.
Our first stop was the town of Jelsa on the island of Hvar.
The church of St. Mary's Assumption on Jelsa.
Our next stop was the Island of Brac. By then the clouds had broken and we had a lovely, sunny day. We had a bout 3 hours to relax on Zlatni Rat (The Golden Cape) Beach in the city of Bol.
A relaxing afternoon in the cool, clear waters of the Adriatic on Zlatni Rat Beach.
Party!

I finally decided to join in on the party. A little wine? A little dancing? Why not?
