Abu Qalah Oasis

Today, we headed out to Abu Qalah Oasis (Abu Qalah means "father's castle" in Arabic) which is just down the road from the excursion we went on last week.  There were some rains since then, and unfortunately, since people just leave their trash everywhere, it was all pushed down by the flooding waters.  We brought around ten garbage bags to clean up the mess.  It wasn't really enough, we needed at least twenty.
Road to an oasis, or farm or castle...I don't know!
Cleaning up the trash.
And there sure was a lot of it.
Yuck.  I think I swallowed some water here!
The first pool of water.
The rocks were super slippery, so it was tough to get over them and into the second pool.
The first glimpse of the second pool.  It isn't easy to see, but it turns a corner into what is almost a cave.
Crystal clear water.  Yes, my camera took this pic under the water.
Venturing around the corner into the cave.  You could hear running water.
Bits of sunlight streamed in.
And there is the water.  Just coming over some rocks, but it was too slippery to climb and see what is on the other side.
Selfie in the small waterfall.
Time to head back out.
Wow.  The sun reflecting off this guy's head looks like a light bulb.
One more selfie leaving the waterfall behind me.
Ok, I have no idea what happened here.  The water droplet on my camera reflected in such a way that the people on the right seem to be entering the gates of hell!  Noooooo!

The group posing with our bags of garbage.  We found a large trash bin to put them in.  Lets hope they don't find their way back into the wadi!
