Another Khasab Weekend

A weekend diving up in Khasab, Oman. I was there for Eid last October to hang out on a dhow boat. It was a successful, although a series of small mishaps along the way starting with:
A car break down at the border.  Battery died as we went in to fill out visa forms.  Jumping it didn't work, so we ended up dragging our suitcases across the border, and our friends had to come back from Khasab to pick us up.
View of the border post at our break down site.
Thousands of Socotra Comorant birds
 Some video of them.
View from my room balcony.  You can kind of see the birds in formation too.
On the boat.

At the dive site.  I forgot to get some triple A batteries for my camera.  The visibility wasn bad anyway and we didn't see too much.  However we did see a big stingray, a huge eel and a baby shark nest.  I had never seen one of those before.

I found this picture online.  This was the closest thing to the shark egg thing I saw.
We happened on some road work.  Cars had to stop while boulders were chucked down the cliff.
Boulders being chucked down the cliff!

Workers waiting to collect the rocks that were chucked down the cliff.
No walkie-talkies, just yell to the guy up on the cliff.
The clean up begins.  The barriers were just plastic, so they got knocked right over too.

The beautiful coastline.
More bulldozer work being done high up on the cliff.
