French Cooking

My friend, Azra, got us some vouchers for L'atelier des Chefs at Le Meridian Hotel in Dubai
We decided to do the steak menu: 

  • Chargrilled rump steak with spicy roast potatoes and cherry tomato salad with balsamic vinegar dressing.
  • Dessert: A gooey chocolate and hazelnut brownie with a hot chocolate sauce  YUMMY!
Our chef was from Turkey, but studied in Lyon, France

  •  Tips for a good steak:  Rub some salt on it right before cooking, just before the steak is finished, add some butter to the pan and baste the steak in it.

Our chef told us sometimes people ask him questions and then google the answer to see if he is right.  Who does that??!!  So, because we were nice...he was very generous with the wine.
