I managed to cram in three dives today. I went with Octopus Divers. They were really great. It had been awhile, so I was a little nervous. I had my cheap dive camera with me. The batteries weren't so great.
I was really scared, but decided to go on the only night dive of the week. I came to really trust my dive master, and the dive was near the shore and only 9 meters down. I ended up not taking my camera, because I had to hold a flashlight and didn't want to be too distracted. A French guy I had been diving with all day brought his. He didn't speak any English, but his wife got my email address, and they are supposed to send some of the pics he sent.
These are just some pics I lifted off the internet, but this is basically what we saw.
White-tipped reef sharks, a BIG sea turtle sleeping under some rocks...a parrot fish sleeping in its mucus cocoon...what??!!
Beach on Praslin Island.
Heading to our first dive site.
Test shot, and last shot of dive #1. Batteries were not so good.
Dave #2 later that afternoon. Not much conversation for me because everyone on the boat were French speakers, except for one German girl I chatted with a bit that day.
This is the site we were heading to.
The obligatory selfie.
Starfish
Eagle ray
Stingray hiding out in the sand.
Another eagle ray,
This picture doesn't do it justice, but this is a giant parrot fish.
Turtle, turtle -so far away!
Here's turtle turtle!
White-tipped reef sharks.

And there were quite a few scorpion fish. Don't touch! That was it for the night and the whole day! What fun! Back for more dives tomorrow.
