This morning, I decided to head to Zentralfriedhof (Central Cemetery) to see a particular grave I was interested in. Who would that be? Mozart? Beetoven perhaps? No. Falco. You know? Falco? "Rock Me Amadeus"? "Der Kommissar"? The cemetery was huge. The running joke is that it is "...half the size of Zurich, but twice as much fun." So, I was going to have quite a bit of walking ahead of me.

| Some random grave that I thought was weird looking. |
| Creepy crow |
| Grave area for nuns and priests. |
| Lots of weeping angels in this cemetery. |
| Inside the Charles Borromeo Church. |
| Found it! Falco was the most successful Austrian pop star of all time. Tragically, he was killed in a car accident in the Dominican Republic in 1998. If you still don't know who he is...check out the videos below. |
"Der Kommissar". Not the original video, but one that I could upload.
"Rock Me Amadeus!"

Cemetery section for babies. Awww.
As I was walking around. I realized that some of the most famous composers of all time are also buried here...and all in the same section as well. |
| Ludwig van Beethoven. (1770-1827). Born in Bonn, Germany - died in Vienna. Beethoven had gone to Vienna in hopes of studying with Mozart, but it is unclear if they ever met. |
| Franz Schubert (1797-1828) Born and died in Vienna at the age of 31 of typhoid or possibly syphilis. He wrote over 1500 works in his short career. |
| Johann Strauss II (1829-1898) Born and died in Vienna, Famous for The Blue Danube. In 2012, grave robbers videoed themselves stealing Strauss's teeth It is believed they broke into Brahms's grave and stole his teeth too. |
| Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) Born in Hamburg, Germany - died in Vienna. Brahms had once told Strauss that he wished he had written "Blue Danube." |
| Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) Born in Salzburg, - died in Vienna at the age of 35 possibly from rheumatic fever. He was originally interred in St Marx Cemetery in Vienna, but being that it was a commoner's grave (not royalty) his body was probably removed after 10 years and it is unknown today where he may be. He was a child prodigy; composing from the age of 5. |
