Swimming with the Fishes!

Today, the weather finally cleared! I was able to do the boat excursion that I had to postpone the day before.  During breakfast at the lodge I was staying at, I was greeted by the resident tortoise, who is about 120 years old.

Kevin, our captain was ready to go.  I wouldn't be alone on this trip!  I would be joined by two Italian women, Anna and Marina.  I was thankful that it wasn't a kissy couple.
'Morning Mr. Tortoise!
Our transportation for the day!  Our excursion would take us out to Sister's Island, Felicite Island, and Coco Island.

10am.  Time for the giant fruit bats,or flying dogs, to wake up!
Today, I got some of my best underwater pictures EVER!
Trumpet fish
Powder Blue Tang fish.
Banner fish

I was so excited!  A small, but beautiful turtle!
My attempt at a selfie with the turtle.

Turtle, turtle!  Swimming!

Then I spied an octopus pictured here.
Just sittin' there hoping we didn't notice him.
This video is TERRIBLE!  It's really hard to dive down and keey your eye on a changing octopus.  But that is what is also really cool about this video.  You can see him change color before I lose him in my viewfinder.
There he is- settled in in his new hiding place.

I think this was us on Sister's Island, but can't be sure which island was which.

Almost NO people were around at all.

End of the day, I had to head over to Praslin Island where my next accommodation  and new adventures were waiting for me!
