The Jimmy Durante Monkey

This morning, we got up at the butt-crack of dawn at Bako National Park to find the elusive proboscis monkey.

There he is, the elusive proboscis monkey, or "Jimmy Durante monkey" as my brother likes to call him.  The Malaysians actually call him the "Dutchman" because they think they look like one with their big nose and fat belly.  They are an endangered species due to a loss of habitat and there are only about 150 of them in the park.

Our time at the park was finished.  Time to head back to Kuching in search of orangutans.
